TM-Flow System vs CMAT Advantage
If you are weighing the TM-Flow System against CMAT Advantage, here is the short version: both run on the same diagnostic platform. The TM-Flow System is the device on its own. CMAT Advantage is the complete partnership package built on that same device, adding operator training, implementation help, and ongoing support. The test a patient receives is identical either way. What differs is how much of the rollout HealthWright Technologies handles for you.
Same device, two ways to buy it
TM-Flow is the name of the underlying technology, and it is built on FDA-cleared component devices. Many practices search for it by that name, so we keep a dedicated TM-Flow System page for the device itself. CMAT Advantage is our full service package wrapped around the same hardware; you can read what the package includes on the CMAT Advantage page. Choosing between them is really a question of whether you want the equipment alone or the equipment plus a guided setup.
| What you are comparing | TM-Flow System | CMAT Advantage |

The testing is the same either way
Whichever route you choose, the in-office test is the same non-invasive battery. Cuffs go on the arms and ankles, and the system records the ankle-brachial index and toe-brachial index along with volume plethysmography. It also runs an autonomic reflex battery, with paced deep breathing, a Valsalva maneuver, and the heart-rate and blood-pressure response to standing, plus a sudomotor (sweat-response) measurement. The whole thing takes 7 to 10 minutes.
Everything runs on the system in your office. There is no cloud account to manage and no remote login. The report is a PDF produced at the point of care, which the clinician reviews and then prints, saves to the chart, or emails.
Reimbursement and medical necessity
These are tests for patients who already have documented symptoms or risk indications, and the results are meant to inform clinical management. The services map to established CPT codes when they are medically necessary and documented: 93923 for the ankle-brachial study, 95921 for the cardiovagal autonomic testing, and 95923 for the sudomotor testing. Coverage rules vary, so confirm the current policy with your Medicare Administrative Contractor before you bill.
Which one is right for your practice
If your team has already run this kind of vascular and autonomic testing and simply wants the device, the TM-Flow System on its own may be all you need. If you are adding the testing for the first time, or you want your staff trained and the workflow set up before your first patient, CMAT Advantage folds the training, onboarding, and support into one package. CMAT Advantage is also backed by our 60-day buyback guarantee, which applies when a practice bills the tests correctly and Medicare does not reimburse.
Common questions
Is TM-Flow the same device as CMAT Advantage?
The hardware is the same. CMAT Advantage is that hardware sold as a full package with training, implementation, and support added.
Does the TM-Flow System include training?
No. Operator training is part of the CMAT Advantage package. If you buy the device on its own, training is not bundled in.
How long does a test take?
The non-invasive test takes 7 to 10 minutes, the same on either option.
Does it need the internet or a cloud account?
No. The system runs in your office and the report is produced right there at the point of care.
